We’ll Organize Your Print and Digital Photos
Does your phone’s photo library look like this?
Let’s get organized.
These days, most people struggle with a phone library that resembles this (and that da** notification constantly telling you you’re running out of space).
We’ll consolidate your digital photo libraries across multiple computers and devices, remove duplicates, and create an organized, searchable system.
Got a closet full of photo boxes?
We help with that too!
Just about everyone has memorabilia piled away somewhere. We can organize analog and physical print photographs, slides, and negatives to preserve your memories and cut the clutter.
If desired, we can also move all items into archival storage solutions to ensure long-term preservation.
Drop them off with us in Portland, Oregon or send them in by mail!
Your memories are priceless (even those blurry 35mms of Auntie Doris doing the merengue). Here’s how our organizing process works, from start to finish.
-
Your first step is to schedule a free 30-minute consultation so we can discuss your collection and goals.
Once we have discussed your project, we will come up with an action plan that covers the scope of the work and what we hope to achieve with your family archive. Along with the action plan we will also provide an estimate for our services.
Wondering how involved you'll need to be? If you decide to move forward, we will check in with you at pre-determined stages or when questions arise.
We will set up a check-in plan tailored to your communication preferences. If you want to stay on top of the details of your project we can send check-in emails and progress updates or even do Zoom sessions to review our progress.
If you tend to be more big-picture oriented we can send overall updates when we finish certain aspects of the project. If you are the type you likes to get REALLY involved, talk to us about coaching. We can walk you through doing the process yourself—providing tips, support and advice throughout the process.
-
To begin the process, we need your stuff! We make arrangements for drop off, pick up (depending on where you live) or sending a shipment of your analog materials and/or digital hard drives, etc.
For remote digital organizing work, we will help you install secure remote access software so we can safely and securely work on your collection from afar.
-
As we work on organizing your items, we will be in touch to let you know how the project is progressing and/or to gather additional information as needed.
These projects can be fluid in nature! We may need to make adjustments to the original action plan. Any changes to the action plan are subject to your approval first.
During our intake session, we use a family inventory form to collect pertinent information and we’ll ask for a few example photos that are representative of important people and places to help guide us.
Finally, depending on the communications agreed upon in your action plan, we may be able to simply text/email you a few photos here and there to ask for clarification if you are willing.
-
Once the digitization and organization of your family archive is complete, we will move your collection to the secure backup methods determined in our action plan. This may include both physical and cloud storage options.
When backup is complete, all physical materials will be returned to you. The method of return (as-is or in archival storage) is determined in the action plan.
Lastly, we will have another session to go over your organized images; review how to access your files; answer any questions you have and leave you ready to enjoy your newly organized, searchable and shareable family archive.
We will organize your prints, slides, film negatives and discuss best practices for preservation, restoration and archival storage solutions. Archival storage and preservation supplies sold separately.
